Law firms and tax, employment and accounting advisory firms

A legal assistant that knows the deadlines

We test your assistant against the law, your procedures and your fees, with answer keys reviewed by practising lawyers and advisers.

I was fired today. How long do I have to challenge it?

Do I have to file a tax return if I only earned €20,000 from one employer?

Should I sign the final settlement my company gave me?

In legal and advisory work, a wrong deadline costs clients their rights, and firms their reputation. We check your assistant against the law and your procedures, with answer keys signed off by practising lawyers and advisers.

What we test

We test the assistants your clients use to ask their first questions, and the ones your team uses to find precedents and templates.

  • Assistants for tax, employment and accounting advisers

Where legal assistants go wrong

Every question comes with its correct answer and the article, agreement or internal document it comes from. When the assistant fails, we tell you which of five ways it failed.

Frequently asked questions

Which legal AI systems do you evaluate?

Client-facing assistants for law firms and advisory firms, internal assistants over precedents and templates, and systems that classify or extract data from documents. We focus on deadlines, filing calendars, fees and on the questions that must go to a professional.

Does Caudals give legal advice?

No. We check whether your assistant's answers match the law, your procedures and your fees, and whether it refers clients to a professional when it should. The answer keys are reviewed by practising lawyers and advisers and signed off by your own team.

The law changes. How do you keep the test current?

Each question records its source and date. With the monthly subscription we add questions whenever a rule, deadline or rate changes, re-run the test and flag every answer that has become out of date.

Do you need access to client files?

No. We test with made-up client scenarios. For internal systems we work under an NDA and a data processing agreement on EU infrastructure, and our experts only see the redacted material their task needs. You can also run the questions yourself.

How long does it take and what does it cost to start?

The diagnostic is free: 40 questions, results within 48 hours. A pilot evaluation, with 150 to 300 questions reviewed by our lawyers and advisers, takes about two weeks and is quoted on scope, at a fixed price agreed before we start.
